(Washington D.C.) CGH Technologies (CGH), Inc., recipient of the 2016 IHS Jane’s Innovation Award “for small enterprises that have raised ATM performance” at the ATCA/CANSO World ATM Congress 2017 is a woman-owned small business founded in 1989. CGH provides industry-leading technological and organizational solutions to federal agencies, state governments and commercial organizations with employees covering all 50 states and US territories. CGH has also been selected to deploy solutions overseas. The CGH mission is to continue to provide leadership and fulfill clients’ requirements with customized solutions regardless of their location on the globe.

CGH has been selected and begun the process of automating the Irish Aviation Authority’s (IAA) electronic Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs) origination and publication process. Utilizing CGH’s established and proven ASSET platform, IAA’s contract calls for the design, creation, delivery, testing and implementation of a NOTAM module integrated into CGH’s ASSET within a year. Using agile software development and the proven ASSET platform makes this a low-risk alternative as compared to the more traditional software approaches others use.

“Using the IAA authoritative source for NOTAM delivery allows for the mitigation of many data challenges for issuing accurate NOTAMS,” said Mr. Philip Hughes, IAA’s Director of Commercial Technology and Training. “Our approach will be transparent to any registered user of ASSET and our NOTAM search program will reside on CGH’s ASSET available on our IAA website,” he continued.

The ASSET software package is a Cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) modular-based Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) package that utilizes electronic terrain obstacle data (eTOD), Airspace, integrated Aeronautical Information Publications (IAIP), a Drone Registry, NOTAMs and other integrated modules to support the aviation community, mostly Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs). It is ADQ-compliant (European Aeronautical Data Quality standard), passed ADQ and independent third-party contractor security audits, is based on Open Architecture and is permissions-based.

It substantially reduces the size of one’s computer center footprint, is not a “seat” license fee tool, and is operational within the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA). The innovativeness of ASSET in areas of efficiency, cost savings, effectiveness and other areas weighed by the Awards Panels brought the CGH Technologies, Inc. ASSET® capability to the forefront for this innovation award. CGH brings years of experience expertise regarding NOTAM and other aeronautical information systems. CGH was the technical contractor responsible for the successful design, development and implementation of the technical architecture of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Federal Notams System (FNS). The goal of this program was to provide a fully digital solution that significantly improves how Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) are created and distributed nationwide. This was a significant undertaking, considering that the prior legacy NOTAM System had not changed much over the past fifty years, yet CGH delivered the product in time and under budget.

CGH prides itself on providing expert solutions for clients in five practice areas: Software Solutions, Human Dynamics, IT Security, Facilities Management and Program Management, and CGH’s staff of subject matter experts and project management specialists have a proven history of success. The solutions CGH provides, along with its track record of reliable and cost-effective service, have propelled CGH to the forefront of innovative software technologies. With every project CGH takes on, a promise and commitment are made to excellence, integrity and expert leadership.
